Apologize the customer irrespective of whose mistake it is!! Slowly analyze the problem and once you come to conclusion speak the truth and make him understand about where the mistake has been taken place and show him the possible ways to rectify / correct the error. Make sure to assure the customer if mistake has been happened from our end confirm him / her that it will not repeat again in future.
