After applying, it took a few weeks to get to next steps. The actual interview process consisted of an HR screening, followed by a case interview a few weeks later, and then a final round behavioral/fit interview a few weeks after that. The whole process took about 1 month. Everything was virtual.

The interview process was a typical case, nothing super special. Overall a great experience with a lot of help (held meetings with prospective employees to talk about the process which was a positive).

Interview
There were four interviews:
1. Phone screening with Campus recruiter (about 15 mins)
2. Phone behavioral interview with Healthcare practice manager (about 30 mins)
3. Zoom interview with Healthcare practice senior director. The first part was a case interview (about 30 mins) and the second part was a behavioral interview (about 20 mins)
4. Zoom interview with two Healthcare practice associates. Back to back behavioral interviews with a five-minute break in between (each interview was about 40 min)

In each round, they asked "Why consulting?" and "Why Huron?"
1. Phone screening: Just wanted to know basic information about your resume, your GPA, what you are studying
2. Phone interview: Be prepared to talk about specific experiences in leading teams and working in teams. The interview is focused on real experiences and they want to hear about "a time you had to ____." EX) tell us about a time you had to work with a difficult team member.
3. Zoom interview: The case was a straightforward interviewer-led scenario where a hospital wanted to implement a new calling system. The behavioral portion of the interview was similar to that of the phone interview.
4. Two Zoom interviews: The first interview is a job-based interview to see how well you fit into the healthcare consulting intern role. Asked questions like "What do you think a consultant does on a daily basis?" and "When was a time you worked with large amounts of data?" The second interview was a values-based interview, where they looked to see how well you aligned with the companies values. Be sure to look at what Huron believes in. These interviews were very conversational and relaxed--even through Zoom.
