InterviewI applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at IISER (Pune) in Apr 2016
Application for the interview is through JGEEBILS exam. There are two rounds of interview. First round goes on for about 15 - 20 minutes. Shortlisted candidates have a second round which may go on for around 45 minutes. shortlisted candidates are then asked to join. The questions in the interview were asked based on our area of choice and work experience (if any).
Interview Questions
- How would a bacterial growth curve look under different conditions viz., optimal and sub optimal? (one of the questions asked in first round)
- Map the restriction sites on a DNA based on the bands observed on an agarose gel run after restriction digestion with two enzymes. (one of the questions asked in second round)
