I applied online. I interviewed at IRS (Austin, TX) in Dec 2011
Interview
The initial application is the hardest part. I interviewed with the Department Head, but I think that was just coincidence. All Candidates are interviewed on the same day, the interview lasted about 15 minutes. Then you are given an imaginary taxpayer's information on a single page, given a little time to get familiar with it, and then you take a call from the "taxpayer".
There wasn't an interview. There was an online assessment with the job application. The assessment had several behavioral questions that referenced conflict escalation, ethics, and collaboration. There were also general language use questions and basic math skill questions.
no interview takes place they hire upon background check which is a month long process once passed you get a start date then your hired its a quick and easy process they hire in mass quantities
There wasn't one. You were asked to join a zoom meetup with other folks for a overview. They then gave you tips on filling out the application and turning in a resume.
