Inflexion Analytics Data Analyst/Data Scientist interview questions

So, I was a fresher and I had applied to Inflexion on Naukri. Everything was done, the telephonic interview, talks to HR about the job, the assessment and I had reached the final technical interview. I attended the interview and everything was going well until the interviewer asked me about the IBM Cognos tool which was new to me. In fact, I had never even heard of it before. So I told him that I'm not familiar with the tool. I also mentioned that I was familiar with Tableau for data Visualization. He went on to talk about the tool and asked me to subscribe to some training institute to get trained in IBM Cognos and get the GIN number. Being a desperate freshman, I was a bit tilted to get the job and told him that I would do so. Now the twist. The training costs around INR20k. They asked me to get trained at my own expense for which i could apply for reimbursement after joining the company. But I wasn't handed an offer letter. I could not trust their 'word of mouth' letter and it got over.
