Average Interview

Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (San Jose, CA (US)) in October 2013.

Interview

It was an internal phone interview. I was referred by a colleague for a SW security position that I didn't think I qualified for, but still went for it because he insisted. My interviewer called me by the phone. The interview lasted about half an hour and was quite friendly.

I applied online. I interviewed at Intel Corporation in May 2013.

    Interview

Was applying for a team in Oregon that could also be based out of Chandler, AZ. For a Sr Software Engineer position - web development plus other skills. First interview was with hiring manager and was just an informal get to know the candidate and job for alignment. Then had a personality test with a team member. Then two other technical interviews - one with the tech lead and one with the tech manager. Asked basic, dev questions designed to both test depth and breadth. Dove into some what if scenarios to design a website. Nothing too difficult and there were several questions I was not able to answer, but that didn't seem to matter much.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Chandler, AZ (US)).

    Interview

I was contacted by Intel's HR for an initial phone screen. The initial phone screen was with 2 engineers who were on the team for which I would be interviewing. The questions were technical in nature, but nothing too heavy. I was contacted shortly thereafter requesting that I come out for an on-site interview. Just before I left, I was also contacted by another manager for a second set of interviews while I was going to be on site. The day of my interviews, I went through a series of 1 hour interviews with engineers and managers over the course of a day. Overall, everyone seem prepared and organized for the interview. Some were harder to read than others, but nothing out of the ordinary.

    Interview Questions

    • I wouldn't say there was a difficult or unexpected question. All the interviews were very technical in nature and I was able to answer all of them (correctly I believe).   Answer Question
