From the beginning the interview process isn't clear multiple people reach out to you from HR and expectations are not set from the beginning and then they want you to do an in-person interview with no notice and no offer made to travel across the country.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Invivyd in Aug 2024
Interview
The recruiting team reached out to me to schedule a phone interview with HR rep 10am in the morning. However on the day of the interview the coordinator emailed me at 9:31am that it has to be rescheduled to Friday because the HR is busy. After rescheduling the interview, the HR did not show up on Friday morning either and no one bothered to reschedule in advance.
HR screen was scheduled and then the day before it had to be rescheduled a week out, which happens. Then again, the day before the rescheduled call, it was rescheduled again another week out. This time the rescheduled call was canceled 90 minutes before the time because they “found their candidate”.
While I totally understand that the ideal candidate can be found while going through the initial phone screen process, it’s rude to keep rescheduling someone as an apparent back-up. Either do the phone screen or put the candidate on hold if you think you have your person. Continuously rescheduling is just plain rude and doesn’t display good candidate care.
