      Marketing Analyst Interview

      17 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Jet

      Interview

By far the worst interview experience I've had. After 2 phone interview rounds and 2 on site interviews with 4-5 people each time, I was rejected with no reason given. They even changed the position that I applied to, and rejected me from a position to which I did not apply. Had positive interviews with everyone except one person on the marketing team.. It was clear from the moment I stepped into the room that he did want me there. He cut me off while I tried to answer his questions, and disregarded my answers before I could finish speaking. It was clear that he wanted a specific candidate for the position. He disagreed with something I said even though his superior agreed with it in another meeting. Although he seemed impressed by my qualifications it was clear that I still was not going to overcome his biases. I find it funny that he was so hostile during this interview even though there a frat boy videos of him on Youtube. It's a shame that such a awesome company like Jet is being dragged down by negative ambassadors. Furthermore, despite me commuting long distances to come to 2 in person interviews, they never once offered to reimburse me for travel. Jet needs to clean house and offer better perks to interviewees.

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jet (Hoboken, NJ) in Jul 2017

      Interview

I applied online through Jet.com's Career Portal. I was contacted for a phone interview by a recruiter about 3 weeks later. After the first recruiter phone interview, I had a second phone interview with the hiring manager followed by a on-site, where I met with the rest of the team. I was kept updated about next steps throughout the process (with a very fast turnaround time) and it took about two weeks to go from the initial screen to an offer. This was one of the best interview experiences I've had - all of my interviewers asked thoughtful questions as well as kept the interviews fun and informative, which ensured a good fit for both parties!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard interview questions: tell me about yourself, what kind of work environment do you most enjoy, etc. Looking for individuals excited about what the company is doing and that will fit in well with the culture.
