I applied online. I interviewed at Kirkland & Ellis (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2024
Interview
One phone interview then one in person interview in their office. Interview was one on one with the direct manager for the role. Overall, was a pretty easy process. Clearly the manager was just looking to see who she connected best with as the role would be closely assisting her.

Question 1
What is any experience you've had working in an office support role?
It was an alright process; two rounds: one was a 15 min phone call and was asked administrative questions. Second was an in-person interview that lasted about 45 mins. was ghosted for 2 weeks after and had to reach out multiple times to get a response.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Kirkland & Ellis
Interview
The process is screening then 2 rounds of interviews.
This recruitment process has been the most poorly communicated experience I've ever encountered, that lacks not only in clarity but also in professionalism. While the position attracts a large pool of applicants, it seems that not all offices are genuinely planning to hire externally. Emails go unanswered, and meaningful communication is virtually nonexistent.

Question 1
Describe how do you manage interpersonal conflicts
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kirkland & Ellis in Feb 2025
Interview
One 20 minute phone screener with a recruiter, then 1-2 formal interviews with attorneys. I was rejected after the screening interview, which is no problem, but was simply ghosted after being explicitly told by the recruiter on the phone that I moved on in the process. Poor communication as the screener was rescheduled the day off and several follow-ups went unanswered.
