I applied online. I interviewed at Lexington Catering
Interview
I applied for the role online and was subsequently contacted by phone and invited to attend an in-person interview. The interview was conducted in a very casual manner, during which the manager continued with packing work, and no detailed questions were asked regarding my previous experience.
Following the interview, I was invited to attend a trial shift. During this shift, I was instructed by a staff member to prepare sandwiches according to the established procedures and to complete a specific quantity. I followed the instructions provided and completed the task. However, no feedback was given by the manager at the end of the trial.
The following weekend, I was contacted and asked to attend a second trial shift on a specific date the next week to carry out the same sandwich-making task. As I was not available on that particular date, I asked whether the trial could be rearranged. I was informed that this was not possible as sandwich preparation only takes place on that day. As a result, I had to decline the second trial shift.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Lexington Catering (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied in towards the end of October and a few days later received an email inviting me to an in person interview. I agreed and on 21st October. When I arrived I was shown to the waiting area before a member of the management team came to take me to the interview room.
As I started to explain my work history, the person who i spoke to initially to confirm my interview came in and apologised for being late. I then went over my work experience again and answered a number of questions from both interviewers.
The interview lasted 40 minutes and at the end of it I was told that I would hear from them within a week.
At the end of the next week I received an email inviting me to a 2nd stage interview where I would need to complete a task which focused on a presentation.
On the second interview I presented the task to 5 people which was dawnting but I still managed it.
This interview lasted 30 minutes and at the end I was told it was between me and another person. My final stage interview was on Wednesday 26th October and I haven't heard a thing.
This has been very disappointing given all the time and effort I put in attending both onsite interviews (both on rainy days)
