Lumen Intern Interview Questions

It was a hireview interview and it had basic questions like what is the challenging situation, how you dealt with difficult coworker, how you handled when a team member left in middle of work.

Just completed the recorded interview, so I have yet to hear if I am moving forward. They seem to make everyone who submits an application for any position complete a one-way video interview (judging by the fact that I received the interview link at the exact same time as the "application received" email). I think this type of interview is dehumanizing in general, but to make candidates prepare for and record an interview before the company has even reviewed applications (and a human might not even look at your application) is extremely disrespectful of candidates' time. Moreover, the one-way video interview questions are not tailored to any position, they are obviously the same questions for every position. It is a series of 7 behavioral questions. You have 30 seconds to prepare to answer, one minute to answer, and one chance to answer each question. Even in real life there is more flexibility if you need time to think of an answer, but in this case you'd better know within 30 seconds. After that I had two "games." I don't know if these were selected for my position or not, but they were not remotely relevant to it. One game requires you to select matching shapes, and the other is a memory/math game. I have done one-way video interviews before, and as dehumanizing as they are, at least other employers actually review applications before asking for them, and have questions that are relevant to the position. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I do not particularly have any desire to work for Lumen now.

Had me answer some question and then had me play some IQ test type games. The questions consisted of you describing something about a project you worked on. Stuff like what challenges you faces you know the deal.

It was a very easy process. The interview process was as follows: 1. Hirevue 2. Recruiter interview 3. Manager interview They asked very simple questions about yourself and the company. Don't overthink the questions and you'll be set.

Friendly interviewers. Simple questions asked. They really care about each one they interviewed. A good company. I would recommend it to everyone. I like the whole interview process. Especially, the view of Denver is just beautiful, everyone would enjoy their life here

It was a telephonic interview. They asked why did you apply for this position. They asked about all the skillset that would be helpful to do this job. They asked some behavioral questions afterward.

Panel interview with four people. The boss, four senior developers, engineers, leads, etc. Technical coding quesitons, interests, aspirations, etc. The hiring process was easy for me since i'm not scared of public speaking and what not. . . .

I got a phone call, and was asked a list of questions. The questions were difficult and I took a while to answer, but the manger was understanding and still hired me. After that, you get a background check and they said they would drug test but never did.

Two phone calls. They were both pretty simple, the first one was more technical asking about my knowledge in programming languages. The second was informal and more of a conversation. I admitted to not knowing much and still got the job.
