Lumen Sales Engineer Interview Questions

Analytics style interview with no live person. Practice is available but metrics are analyzed by AI (I assume). Similar to VMock. There was no live interaction. Lumen was formerly known as Centurylink.

During COVID, their interview process was online. I had to complete a virtual video interview that included 7 timed and recored questions and 2 games. Then I was contacted by a recruiter to complete more questions and schedule a call with them.

Phone Screen took about 30 minutes and asked normal hr questions. Web interview was more intensive on how I would handle the job. It was a quick process and if never had a Skype interview can be quite frightening.

Lots of questions about changing my perspective challenges I have faced and questioning my reasoning skills. It was not what I was expecting but it made for an interactive and interesting interview.

First they call you to ask basic questions about you like your strengths, then they give you a brief overview of what the the process of will be like and the details of the job.

Basic to Intermediate. First was a phone screen and then an One on One Onsite Interview with the hiring manager. the Next step was a group panel discussion with Sales and Presales Team on a product or solution which I had previously worked on.Feedback from the interview process from hiring team was good. Interview cycle ot too difficult to crack.

Started with two phone interviews, including a virtual white board session to demonstrate technical knowledge diagramming skills. Phone interview also had role-playing exercise to simulate a customer meeting to determine requirements, and steer solution towards CenturyLink's product set. Invited to a local office for a series of one-on-one interviews with SE director, SE manager, and office general manager. Also included "informal" lunch meeting with prospective peers to get a sense for team chemistry. An offer was extended one week after the in-person meeting with a base salary and commission plan. I countered for more money plus other items. I received more money, but not the other items I had asked for.
