I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
I had a phone interview with a basic programming question. Later I was invited for the onsite interviews. There were
- 2 architecture design sessions
- 1 session with a programming question which I had to solve on my personal computer
- 1 session with my team's manager
- 1 session with the recruiter
About 1 week after that, I received an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the questions was to design a coupon system which starts with basic requirements. New requirements were mentioned as I progressed in the design so I had to do small modifications or make more flexible design decisions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Toronto, ON) in May 2026
Interview
My experience wasn’t great with Lyft.
During my system design interview, my interviewer kept silent most of the time.
No communication, and he seems to end my interview session as soon as possible.
Be careful about this
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Process is good. Not too exhaustive and they respond quickly. Recruiters are great too. I cleared all my interviews and I am in team matching since a very long time. Lyft does not give you an offer even after clearing interviews.
