The interview itself was fine. Both women who interviewed me were knowledgeable and personable. It was very short and consisted of questions about familiarity with assessments, experience with scheduling, etc.
However, this school was unusual in that they contacted me exclusively through SchoolSpring. The interview invitation I received instructed me to contact a specific person via email to confirm the time. I emailed her and received an out-of-office reply. I reached out to two other people at the school but did not receive responses from them. In the end, I showed up at the office not knowing if I actually had an interview or not. Similarly, after the interview I did not hear anything from the school, either positive or negative. I got the sense that they were looking for someone with a literacy certification (which I don't have), so I acknowledge that I wasn't a good fit for the position. I just think it would have been more professional for them to communicate with me before and after the interview.
