      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meijer in Mar 2013

      Interview

The overall process was really quick. I think it was mainly because they are understaffed and need people quick. I filled out my application, and got a call for a phone interview the following day (which was a Thursday). Then I had an in-person interview with a team leader and the head of the deli the following Saturday. It was stress free, and easygoing, questions weren't hard at all. Just some situational questions like 'Name a time when you had to take over someone else's project' and 'Name a time when you had to tell an authority figure about someone's bad behavior' . I was told I would get a callback by the 26th. They called me back for my third interview 3 days later on Tuesday, and scheduled it for Thursday. My third and final interview was with the store director. Some more situational question were asked, like 'Name a time when you had results that exceeded your expectations' and 'Name a time when you had to work with someone you didn't like'. Was pretty easy for me because I had answers for every question asked. Talked for a while, I was told I was a good fit for the position and welcome to Meijer. Have to wait about a week for my background check to clear, then they will call and tell you when to report for orientation. Everyone was extremely nice while still being professional. Just be calm, confident and answer the questions to the best of your abillity. Really excited about getting the job, and can't wait to start!
