I interviewed at Metra (Chicago, IL)
A phone interview, a zoom meeting with the manager, and in person interview . There may be a one on one with the chief Human Resources officer. The in person interview was a panel interview with 4 stakeholders for that position
- The usual- and lots of metric questions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Metra (Chicago, IL)
the HR will bring you to the interview room, and the accounting department manager and hiring staff begin interview process. The whole interview is not that long, probably around an hour, and the interview question generally related to behavior, small part related to accounting or financial fields.
- interview questions related to general behavior questions.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Chicago, IL
I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Metra (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2022
Interview process was unprofessional, Metra never responded back after a person will come in for an interview. The company website displays closed without any email responses. After reaching out to Human Resources which was waste of time No one sent a approval or denial email. Metra should respect the professional standards of transportation and show more respect and courtesy to individuals who can show up in response of their request. No offer and no call from anyone stating anything…Very Unprofessional company when it comes down responding on careers that Metra posts.
- What do know about the railroad?

Interview process was fine. But job posting misleading. They were looking for a litigator, but nowhere in the posting did they say that. The interviewers were all nice guys but they just needed to have more transparency in the job posting.
- Do you have any prior litigation experience.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Metra (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2022
Applied online then had an HR person reach out to schedule an interview through teams. The whole head of the department were there asking questions very friendly and warm. After a couple days passed I received an offer for the position.
- Tell me about your previous work experiences.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Metra in Sept 2022
The process involved two calls over the phone. The first with the HR generalist. The second was with two managers within the department. Both were relatively easy going. Typical behavioral questions.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?

Anonymous Employee in Chicago, IL
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Metra (Chicago, IL)
It was straightforward, mostly behavioral questions. It did take them about 5 weeks to reach back out which was probably the only bad part but overall they were very nice.
- Explain a time you had to collaborate with a team.

Anonymous Employee
I interviewed at Metra
Clear and to the point, asked about general financial statements and their purpose. Also asked behavioral questions and asked to go through one's resume and describe skills. Will definitely need excel knowledge and good communication skills.
- What is a balance sheet?

Anonymous Employee
I applied online. I interviewed at Metra in Dec 2021
Was very good. They asked normal questions, strengths/weaknesses. It was a smooth process and very friendly interviewee. The position and company sounds great to be at. I recommend everyone to apply!
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Anonymous Employee
I interviewed at Metra
You do a phone interview then they tell you to take an exam to narrow the numbers. After that you have an interview with a group of managers. Understand it will take a while for them to contact you in between each step.
- If a passenger missed their stop, what would you do?
