I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Michaels (Greensboro, NC) in Sept 2013
Interview
It was thorough, and friendly. The online questionnaire did prove problematic however, the "save" kept shutting down. I kept having to call back to ask if they'd received the application yet - third time was the charm. I wonder if this contact improved my chances for getting the position?

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you made a positive impact in your work environment, etc.
What kind of hours are you working to look? Have you shopped at Michael's a lot before this and what is your favorite part of our inventory?
Easy and quick, pretty laid back process. It's an initial phone call to screen/schedule an in person interview and then the in person interview lasted about 15 minutes. Pretty conversational and standard questions.
Fast. Very friendly. Questionnaire!!!! But process goes quick. Manager is friendly and interview went fine. Super friendly conversation. Seasonal is easier to enter. After season is over it is easy to stay as a permanent employee.
