I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Feb 2008
Interview
Started with first round interview on campus through school's career services. Had to apply through school system. First interview was with two full time analysts. There was a mix of behavioral and technical finance questions.
Second round was in the office, met with 4 different people. I was called back the same day and met with two more people, including the head of the group. These two interviews were much more fit based and less technical based
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Buy an asset for $100. It depreciates over 5 years straightline. Walk me through the impacts that this has on the financial statements.
The interview process was a great experience overall. I enjoyed the conversation and felt it was a strong opportunity to connect my background to the work Morgan Stanley does. There was a HireVue than one one one.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and how you're a good match.
After submitting the application, they provide the online assessment link to all the people, I guess. After taking the assessment, the applicants who are moving on to the next step will have a Zoom interview with HR and a superday (final), respectively.

Question 1
Mostly about fit questions. Not a single technical question was asked.
Well organised, informational, and transparent process. After test there was a hirevue, then a telephone interview and then the superday, all of which was completed in about one month. I appreciated their speed and for not dragging out the process.
