I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at OpenText (Hyderābād) in Jul 2018
Interview
1. Round 1 : 2 simple java based programming questions.
2. Round 2: 1. Question about current project and architecture.
2. Few simple data structure related questions.
3. ROUND 3: With senior manager.
1. Questions on current project architecture, system design, some simple programming, some scenario based SQL queries etc.
3rd round progressed very well but they said you have wonderful logic development skills but you lack experience in designing. Very frustrating. Completely wasted two days.
Don't go to them they have no respect for person time. They will call ppl for 2 3 rounds and simply give some stupid reasons for rejection.
I was interviewed by 2 Enterprise Architects but the job was not something I got from HR. I was not prepared at all, but due to my 20 years practical experience, there is no problem for me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the most challenging part you've done as a full-stack software developer?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OpenText (Bengaluru) in Feb 2025
Interview
This was a very funny interview. The interview questions were very simple but still the interviewer was looking for answers in certain fashion. And after getting to know about the break from work I took and the "deligency" in taking that break, he took it a little personal I think. Anyways it was going to be a practice interview so I am not bothered but it could have been interesting but it was not. I had some trouble sharing my ide's screen but that got sorted out. Man what a dissapointing interview. I won't even call it a practice interview anymore.
Tip: Don't share personal stuff with anyone.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OpenText (Bengaluru) in May 2024
Interview
The interview consisted of three technical rounds, one Director-level round, one VP-level round, one HR round, and one online test.
I did very well in all the technical rounds.
During each round, the interviewers asked me whether I had come through a referral, which made me realize how important referrals can be.
I told them that I had applied online.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first technical round focused entirely on system design, along with one problem related to HashMap.The second technical round was centered around Spring and core Java concepts. The third round involved a few coding practice questions and one problem to solve. The Director-level round was completely behavioral. In director round asked about my expected salary. The VP-level round was a mix of technical and behavioral questions. All the rounds went well. The HR round was a bit unusual. The HR seemed partially sleepy during the conversation—she yawned in between questions, then suddenly woke up and asked for clarity on my answers. She asked about AI-related I realised she doen't have any understanding about AI. The online question was one medium and other above medium level. All completed after a week I called recruiter , The way he speaks almost confirm the offer and a week later recruiter updated they stop proceeding this process and he ask me how the HR interview went??
