Question 1
This was the most funniest interview I had ever attended. The lady interviewer was not prepared with questions. I was completing most of her sentences in English. I have 10 years of exp. She asked me very basic questions. Like what will happen if we dot write catch block in try catch. Sequence of catching exceptions etc. She was writing some code for asking questions, believe me she could not declare even a string, datatable, try catch block properly. Was asking me all syntax like how will you write datagrid binding code, what will you write in edit event of datagrid. All written syntax, she did not want just logic. What all you need to mention in sql server sessions. I told her session name and name of the server in web.config. She wanted me to write everything on paper. She asked me , how aspx requests work, once you hit the request in browser. I was explaining her the flow in iis and how it goes to http runtime. She was not interested how it works in iis,she was not even letting me speak saying she knew request goes to iis, not sure what bookish answer she was looking for. She also asked me to write down a code to color a row in datagrid .
So the interview was very much project specific interview. If you know how to color a grid , you are welcome :-)
At least interviewer should be able to understand what interviewee is talking about. At some point she was clueless.
Well, I got rejected :-)
What if you do not write catch block in try catch? What are sessions in asp.net. What is viewstate. Limitations of viewstate. Where and how to mention which session you are using.Code to bind source to grid. Code to handle different events in datagrid. Code to handle null check of datatable. How aspx request works.
