I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Austin, TX) in Mar 2019
Interview
The interview process with Paycom was very positive for me, even without getting an offer at the end --
I found out about the opportunity through a 3rd party recruiter, I applied online & the 3rd party recruiter sent proof of my previous sales results to Paycom.
I was contacted about a phone interview with a Paycom HR manager the next day, then was scheduled for an in person interview with a sales manager at the Austin office.
I had very positive conversations with Kelsey (HR) & Brittany (Austin Sales Manager)! The interviews were conversational, and they asked the basics as well as some good, thought-provoking questions - nothing too tough that I hadn't answered before.
Unfortunately, I didn't end up moving forward after that, but I was contacted by a Paycom HR rep on the phone to give me the bad news, which I thought was really nice & different than most large companies! (I half-jokingly asked her if I did something weird during the interview to get 'veto'ed but she didn't have that information).
Anyways, I was disappointed for myself, but no bad words to say about this company!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to be successful?
What motivates you?
How do you become better?
What made you leave your last job?
Long process and have to set meetings in front of a manager on the phone. They have you come into the office and make cold calls without knowing the product at all.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Washington, DC) in Jul 2024
Interview
Strung me along through the interview process only to say they were going with someone else after basically telling me I had the job. Then heard that they were starting the interview process with someone I knew indicating they were not going with someone else.

Interview was easy but something didn’t feel right so I declined the offer. They seemed to salesy to me, almost like trying to get me to accept on the dot.
