Interview
1. Application / Resume Screening
Purpose: To shortlist candidates who meet the basic qualifications.
Who’s Involved: HR or talent acquisition team.
Tip: Ensure your resume is tailored to the job role.
🔹 2. Initial HR Interview (Telephonic or Virtual)
Purpose: To assess communication skills, availability, salary expectations, and general fit.
Common Questions:
Tell me about yourself.
Why do you want to work with us?
What are your salary expectations?
Duration: 15–30 minutes.
🔹 3. Technical/Functional Interview
Purpose: To evaluate role-specific knowledge or skills.
Conducted By: Hiring manager or team lead.
Format: May involve problem-solving, scenario-based questions, or skill assessments.
Tip: Prepare with real-world examples from past experiences.
🔹 4. Assignment or Test (if applicable)
Purpose: To assess hands-on ability (common for roles in tech, content, marketing, finance, etc.).
Format: Case study, written test, coding challenge, etc.
🔹 5. Final Interview / Managerial Round
Purpose: To understand your personality, career goals, and alignment with the team and company culture.
May Include: Situational judgment questions, behavioral questions.
Tip: Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure answers.
🔹 6. HR Discussion / Offer Negotiation
Purpose: To finalize salary, benefits, joining date, and clear up any final questions.
Outcome: Offer letter issued if selected.
🔹 7. Background Check & Onboarding
Purpose: To verify educational, professional, and legal records before joining.
Followed By: Company onboarding process.
