Peraton is a government contractor with roots that go back to the golden age of Bell Labs in the early 1980s but whatever that great era represented is all but lost. The company that stands today is a train wreck waiting to happen – do not get caught in its wreckage. The interview process is clunky and random – without any way for the candidate to anticipate what Peraton will do at any step during the process. Peraton popped a third interview on me – and this was after I was assured by both my recruiting agency and Peraton that there would be only two interviews. After an offer was made and formalized, Peraton at random announced a final interview the morning of it. All parties were mislead, including my recruiting agency. What turned out to be an interview was supposed to be a pep talk of sorts – something to prepare me for my first day the following week. Peraton ultimately rescinded their offer which turned into a huge mess – and I would use expletives if this were not a professional forum. Peraton is a sham organization. Avoid at all costs. Accepting an offer will not ensure employment. Not if the company at random has second thoughts – and in my case, the situation confused all parties. Without naming specific parties involved, the company was extremely rude to me if not outright belligerent near that last phase. The situation was odd as it seemed like the organization had something against me on a personal level – and my recruiting agency could not make sense of it either. I am the only person I know of who has had a job offered to him or her - paperwork signed start date given – only to have everything expected pulled like a rug beneath his or her feat. I want to say in regard to all of this, these are my opinions which should not be mistaken for claims of fact and should not be interpreted as such either. You are free to share my opinions however and I suspect you will adopt them as your own if you make the mistake of interviewing with Peraton yourself.
