I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Perry Homes (Houston, TX) in Oct 2019
Interview
Please be weary of their offers, at least as far as the IT team is concerned.
Was contacted by an outside recruiter for this position (Contract to Hire).
In person interview was arranged with the VP of IT. Interview it’s self was a pleasant experience.
- Questions related to experience
- Management style and solving team dynamics situations
- Questions assembled by their development team. Design Patterns, CORS, REST etc
Received positive feedback from Perry Homes IT leadership. Recruiter was to submit the paperwork for Contract to Hire.
However, start of 2020, the recruiter was made aware that there was no Contract to Hire anymore and now they’ll be one more interview for a full time hire.
Interview was scheduled, but abruptly cancelled a day before. No response on the email sent to Perry’s HR as to why? The third party recruiter was also not notified. Latter we found out that they hired someone else without even honoring their interview commitments. Highly unprofessional way to deal with a candidate, especially considering the said candidate was offered contract-to-hire through as communicated by the recruiter.
