I applied for the position of Graduate Electrical Engineer in the summer of 2019 and was called for an interview shortly thereafter. Few weeks post-interview they called me in to offer me the job and to discuss terms of contract. I was welcomed to the team by the line manager, after accepting the position, I was advised they will send me the contract via email. A few days went past and I had not received any sort of contract, so I emailed the line manager asking for a follow up. They replied a week later claiming that due to an 'internal policy change' they had to drop the position. This was by itself a joke and a complete waste of my time, and naturally I felt immensely violated.
But oh no, they didn't stop there.
A few weeks later, after having moved on and given them the benefit of the doubt, I stumbled across their LinkedIn page which affirmed my suspicion of their disingenuous conduct. The LinkedIn page displayed not only that the job was still available, but rather that they had gone on to recruit two new candidates for the exact position! Why bother calling me and promising me the position if their intent was to hire other candidates?
If a company such as this, behaves with such dishonesty, lies, and deception with prospective candidates, one begins to wonder what they do with their clients. Are they really a company which is highly professional as they claim? Are they honest and behave with integrity?
I would advise both, candidates and clients, to stay away from Poise Group, as it is a real shame that we observe such crooked behaviour in the heart of London.
Poise? More like Poison.
