I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at QuestBridge
Interview
I was deeply disappointed with the process. I applied one month and was invited to an initial phone screen a few weeks later. The phone screen felt promising and approximately two weeks after that I was invited to a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. After a successful (it felt) interview I was told I would hear about next steps within two weeks. Unfortunately, they ghosted me for lack of a better word. After two interviews and multiple emails from me checking in about my status I believe that professional courtesy would allow me to have heard back from them, even for a rejection.
I have worked in this field for nearly a decade and have interacted with this organization in my previous work and did not realize that ghosting candidates was part of how they moved. I realize that an employer is juggling a lot during the interview process, but I do believe that seeing candidates as people with timelines that matter as well is important. I would have expected more professionalism.

Question 1
What was my experience developing programs for alumni?
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry that was your experience and will strive to improve our process going forward. I appreciate your feedback.
- QuestBridge Human Resources
During the screening interview, the hiring manager was unable to answer my questions regarding the work culture at QuestBridge. They were contracted out by the Quest team and during our interview she seemed to be reading from a script. The interaction was a bit in-personable.

Question 1
Can you tell me about a time where you have lead a project?
Dear Program Manager Candidate,
Thank you for leaving feedback for us. It was likely me that conducted this initial phone screen and I am sorry that I did not address the QuestBridge work culture question to satisfaction. The best word to describe the work culture here is passion, passion for the mission of QuestBridge, and passion for being part of an organization that is making a huge difference in the lives of our Alumni. At least once a week someone shares feedback from our scholars about the life changing difference this organization has made to them. Everyone that works here is committed to continuing to make a difference in the lives of our alumni and impacting higher education with much needed diversity. I hope that you continue to engage with our organization.
