I interviewed at Reed in Partnership (London, England)
Interview
It was a great experience when the recruiters were handling it. At each step, I have got proper and professional feedback and made it to the last round. The last round was a total unprofessional disaster. So, the hiring manager for the role was a salesperson with 5 years of experience in an electronics store. with a total of 8 years of work experience in his life. He is asking you standard questions (almost the same questions, just like in previous rounds); I did my homework and studied company culture, mission, vision, possible questions, and questions asked in the previous interviews based on the STAR method. Remember that I have 20+ years of experience in sales, sales ops and customer service and 10 years of managerial level, and the STAR method is not the first time I have heard about it. After the interview, they went in total silence, so I had to follow up and ask for feedback. Per the hiring manager's feedback, I could not answer any questions properly. The language used in the feedback was rude and totally unprofessional. I have never had such a bad experience with a company. If you are going to interview them, and if they talk about the STAR method, etc, do not worry; just like a parrot, memorize story-based answers to questions and just deliver them to hiring managers. They are not into your skill set, experience, personality, what you want to do, past experience, etc. Just take it easy and make it like a lazy person, and you will be fine.
