      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2022

      Interview

First Interview with the Recruiter: Walk Me Through Your Resume. Then she asked two behavioral questions related to the job responsibilities. She asked questions to clarify that I had the required experience that matched the duties according to the job posting. In the end, she described the interview process, the OTE salary range, and the next steps. The recruiter was very friendly, and I could feel a genuine interest in her side to get the job. She was very supportive in all my Interview Process (Aundria Wheeler). Second Interview: Hiring Manager. He started sharing his background, expectations about the team, and the candidate who would get the job. Then he asked to tell me about Myself, and then he asked three behavioral questions related to my selling skills. He clarified how the job pace could be different from what I was used to. I had the opportunity to ask questions at the end. I received news about my process on the same day. Third Interview: Hiring Manager and Peer. This interview was, from my point of view, the most difficult. The interview began with Tell Me About Yourself, Why Salesforce. The following questions were about how much I knew about the Marketing Cloud solutions from Salesforce (what is your favorite Marketing Cloud product, and what would be your pitch about Salesforce Marketing Cloud to your favorite brand's CMO). Two other questions related to my selling skills that I needed to back up with my experience. In the end, they allowed me to ask questions. I received feedback about my process three days later after my interview. It is essential to mention that those days included two days off (Wellness Day and Labor Day). Fourth Interview: Presentation with Hiring Manager, Peer, and Boss from my Hiring Manager. My recruiter helped me to deliver an excellent presentation. She took the time to thoroughly explain all the presentation sections. I did a couple of dry runs with her and received great feedback. I highly prepared for this presentation by practicing with four people to receive additional feedback. During the presentation, the audience paid attention and asked questions about my presentation. The questions aimed to clarify specific points of the content. Overall, I felt very smooth and easygoing during the presentation. It was an excellent exercise to showcase my presentation skills to clients. The presentation included talking about myself, navigating an account, delivering a salesforce product value proposition and territory plan, and why I am the best option. I was extended an offer a day later which I accepted. I must say that I felt the process to be very human-centered. I always felt everyone from Salesforce I speak with support me in getting the offer. As the interview process consisted of 4 interviews, the process length was very long (1 month and a half).

      Question 1

Walk me through your Resume. Why Salesforce? How do you prospect? Tell me about a time in which you needed to convince a client that you had the correct product to solve their pain points. Tell me about the deal that you are most proud of What was your ranking against the rest of the team members of your sales team from your previous company? What and how did you learn from your other selling peers? What is your favorite Marketing Cloud product? What is your favorite brand and why? Following to your answer what would be your elevator pitch to the CMO of that company? How long were your sales cycles? What Marketing Cloud Products would you sell to the account you used as an example? (During my presentation)

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in Feb 2022

      Interview

Beware if you're an external candidate because more than likely this is going to be a waste of your time. Why do I say this? Because yes like the usual Salesforce Account Executive interviews there is a pre-screen with Recruiter then a 50min with a panel of Vice Presidents (inflated title for Manager), you are then asked to prepare a 1 hour long presentation on yourself; deal you've won; the value proposition for the product, service or team you're joining. The first two steps are usually fine. Keep in mind that for the second interview you want to keep your answers crisp, concise and straight forward as they're evaluating your ability to be direct as if you were in front of a customer. Doesn't matter what the question is, it could be "what's your favourite sports team" just keep it simple and short. The presentation is where you are provided a deck template and they're measuring: "Articulation of ROI/Business Value, Discovery, Objection Handling, and Planning & Closing Skills" Along with the fact that you have to do hours upon hours of research and learning about the product(s) and service(s) you are providing, you need to create a deck that is clear and concise like the previous interview. Here's the thing, with my specific interview experience I offered a lot of availability the following week to present this and take on that 1 hour interview but I was given the run around about scheduling and given a date 2 weeks out. I asked for earlier and didn't get anything. The recruiter to their credit worked really hard to make sure I was prepared and scheduled sessions to help review my content. The problem was, during that first session where I supposed to present the deck I had spent days putting together, I was told that the decision was made and role was filled with an internal candidate. I'm all for promoting internally but why waste my time with such blatant disregard and tell me almost at the absolute last minute that the role was no longer available? This is another example with Salesforce where an internal candidate was preferred and awarded the job prior to having me complete the process. It's a disrespectful way to treat candidates and it wasn't the first time. The amount of time to invest in this process without even getting a fair opportunity is not something I'd ever expect from a top tier organization like this yet it's happened consistently.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce in Aug 2020

      Interview

Total of six interviews before being told that they moved on with another candidate. Was told after interview for that a decision was made to go with another candidate. I was then told that they changed their mind and brought me back for another two only to be told again that the decision was made to go with another candidate. This was before I would have likely had to have more interviews before doing a "stand and deliver" presentation. When I look a the team - they are looking for a specific type of candidate - HPLE (Millennial). I don't believe the company appreciates experienced candidates. If you are over 40, I wouldn't bother applying to positions. Clearly have a mold they like and majority are young men.

      Question 1

Tell me about your experience and why you are interested in joining Salesforce. - fairly standard questions but doing it over and over again with 6 different people over 40ish days.
