      Copywriter Interview

      12 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Woodinville, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SaltWorks (Woodinville, WA) in Mar 2019

      Interview

They sent me an invitation to do some samples for a copywriter role. They promise a $50 gift card for your time, stating they understand your time is valuable and give one week to complete the task. One day prior to the week ending, I receive an email asking if I was still interested to which I replied, and sent the test project. A couple of days later the individual who initially sent me the test job sent me a text asking for my address and phone number so they could send the Amazon gift card. After 1.5 weeks I hadn't received the gift card and wrote him an email to inquire if it was sent. Radio silence. They don't reply. The process seems a bit shady and for a company claiming that they understand your time is valuable, only to waste it, is off-putting, to say the least. If you get an invite via email to submit work, do so with caution, might end up being recycled by them, and you won't receive the compensation promised.
