I applied on linkedin and got a callback next day. The recruiter CS was very friendly and let me know about the processes well. There were 4 levels including HR level. But one thing I don’t understood was the role of head of engineering as there was hiring manager review in the first round and after technical review. First round hiring manager review was mostly technical and competency based and last round was mostly about my ambitions and what kind of a person I am, purely not anything related to projects or technical. But after the last round they rejected me saying I didn’t hold the experience they needed technically. It kind of felt strange after passing 2 technical interviews but rejected after talking about my ambitions and plans. I got a vague rejection mail without any explanation where I lack. It looks like mostly the hiring manager wants to reject me for some reasons, an honest feedback could have been helped. But any feedback is better than no feedback at all.
