Candidates applying for Big Data Engineer roles take an average of 30 days to get hired, when considering 1 user submitted interviews for this role. To compare, the hiring process at Sentiance overall takes an average of 14 days.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sentiance (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2020
Interview
I was contacted by a recruitment agency. I had a phone screening with them where they asked around 10-15 technical questions. It was quite easy. Then, they sent me a technical test which should be submitted within 48 hours. Later, an interview was scheduled where they assessed my technical test and behavioral skills. But I got rejected in this round. Though the title and job description were related to Data Engineering, most of the questions were related to API development which I had less experience with. They dint check my Data Engineering background. So I believe they could have scheduled a technical interview at first to analyze my skills if API development was of prime importance.
