    DSP Parternships Manager Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Smart AdServer (New York, NY (US)) in August 2017.

    Interview

The process lasted roughly one month from initial contact to offer letter. During that time, I started with a brief screening/conversation with the Hiring Manager. Following that, I had two in person interviews, and one Skype interview with a team member in Paris. Communication was clear throughout, which managed expectations well.

    Marketing Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Smart AdServer (New York, NY (US)) in July 2017.

    Interview

This was the best interview process I have experienced in my career thus far! The recruiter (Sebastien) reached out to me via LinkedIn, and was incredibly communicative and organized throughout the entire process. I never had to wait more than a few days for direction on next steps. I met with 5 people from different parts of the organization (Marketing, Product, Leadership). Each person seemed genuinely excited about the company and our conversation. They asked me thoughtful questions; it felt less like quizzing and more like getting to know one another to assess if I was a good fit for the role. I can't wait to join this crew!

    Interview

An external recruiter contacted me, then I had one phone call with the hiring manager. One week later I went on-site to meet the hiring manager and another team member. They asked about my background and gave me one hour to answer a technical test. Last step was to speak with Country Manager and an offer came 30 minutes later.

    Head of Learning Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Smart AdServer (Paris (France)) in September 2019.

    Interview

I applied on linkedin, and I spoke with HR on the phone, and then had an in-person interview with the hiring manager. The experience with HR was great.

The meeting with the hiring manager was a complete waste of my time. They were clearly not interested in my skill set, so I don't know why they asked me to come in, as they told me that the other candidates had more experience in this industry. It felt like a "tech boy's club" that was not very open to diverse profiles outside of their direct industry. I was casually insulted when the hiring manager alluded to the fact that maybe I wouldn't be smart enough to be able to speak and understand their developers "who went to the best engineering schools in France" . I was convinced that the interview was going nowhere after about 10 minutes, but at the end of the interview an hour later, the hiring manager said I could review their current solution and give feedback about their tutorials the following week. I felt a little uncomfortable that he gave me his personal and not professional email address. I politely followed up a few days later to say I was not interested in pursuing the process.

It was however interesting to learn about this industry.

    Internship Data Analyst Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Smart AdServer (Paris (France)) in March 2019.

    Interview

I had a phone call with HR a couple of days following my online application. I then had an interview with the manager one week later in Smart’s Paris office. The following week, another interview with an SQL test followed by an interview with another team member. The recruiter called me one week later to get my feedback on the interviews, and called me back the next day to let me know they offered me an internship.
The overall process was very smooth and structured, the interview questions were not especially hard but were still going in-depth into past experiences.

    Technical Account Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Berlin (Germany)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smart AdServer (Berlin (Germany)) in October 2016.

    Interview
