The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SoCalGas (Corona, CA) in Feb 2009
Interview
No Interview. Just Pass the test and wait to be called> They have different bases thruout So Cal and there is about a 9month to 2year waiting list depending on the city..More populated and central cities have a longer wait. Then when you get callecd in they have you sign the paperwork for drug test and backgropund. Then you attend 3 week training..Which does not accurately prepare you for all hazards of the job.

Before the interview, they may call you randomly. Be prepared to go over your resume and experiences. You might get asked why you want to work there as well. So make sure you do plenty of research on the company so you can answer accordingly. I have yet to interview but I will leave an update.
Very focused on use of the STAR method. One phone interview and one in person interview. All behavioral questions that center around your previous experiences. There is a networking lunch after the in-person interview.
