The interview process consisted of three calls assessing a mix of technical, behavioral, and product skills. The opportunity to meet multiple team members, as well as the focus throughout on care for each other, gave me a strong sense of what it will be like to work at Sparrow and really helped with selling me on the offer. The behavior and product interview sections in particular felt unique to me compared to other interviews, and helped Sparrow's offer stand out. I also appreciated that the technical section felt less rote than other interviews. Instead of seeming like a test ("design a Spotify / Airbnb / Twitter / etc. feature") it was collaborative and focused more on open-ended problem solving approaches. I enjoyed this and felt encouraged by the reminder of how important that collaborative energy is to Sparrow.
