I applied for a Senior Designer position and received a personal email from the Recruiter inviting me to interview with the Design Lead. I spent time preparing and sent over my availability immediately. However, shortly after, I received an automated rejection email from their system. When I asked for clarification, HR admitted it was an 'internal oversight' and that they had already filled the position but sent the interview invite 'in error'. Sending an interview invitation to a candidate AFTER the role is filled shows a complete lack of respect for candidates' time and effort. Extremely unprofessional workflow
