I applied online. I interviewed at Superhuman in Jan 2026
Interview
I was initially very excited to be considered for this position, but based on the hiring process, I clearly dodged a bullet. 6 Rounds of interviews with a total of 10 people across a 2-month period is excessive, especially when the Presentation came last, which felt like an afterthought.
In the first round, the hiring manager acted like he was there against his will and didn't seem to like me, so I was actually shocked when I made it to the next round. Everyone else was pleasant and said my responses were "perfect" and "sound like I already work here," but ultimately, I was rejected with no explanation.
My first red flag should have been when the recruiter was not transparent about how many rounds of interviews there would be or that there would be a presentation, which I believe was intentional because they had no alignment or plan for what they were actually looking for.
One last thing - and this may seem petty, but worth calling out. They sent me an email saying I'd receive a GrubHub voucher to get lunch on them for my Team Interview, but I never got it. Just thought it was kinda funny and speaks to their lack of followthrough and sincerity.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Superhuman in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process was an efficient, thorough, and valuable experience. The process included a meeting with the recruiter, hiring manager, 3 interviews comprised of 2 1:1 interviews with Customer Success Managers and a panel interview with two Sr Customer Onboarding Managers, and a final presentation that mimicked a B2B onboarding.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you like to give and receive feedback? How do you adapt to change? How do you manage projects?
The interview process involved four parts. An initial recruiter phone screening, an interview with the hiring manager, interviews with members of the onboarding and success team, and a final presentation on a topic of your choice.
The recruiting team provided regular updates and support for each stage of the interview process. I felt well supported and informed throughout. It was the best interview process I've ever experienced hands down.
