      Internship Interview

      17 Mar 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Texas
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Texas) in Oct 2012

      Interview

Career fair, email, interview, second interview. They were not very organized. Confirmed my second interview 50 minutes before it was supposed to start. Extremely frustrating. The first interview went well the second was with two people and one particular interviewer was very demanding of information. I did not feel comfortable

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Extremely behavioral, asked very in depth questions about what you have done in certain situations and then reversed it. Kind of annoying. First interview was much more enjoyable. They second they really drilled you for information. I wouldn't recommend to a sophomore. They want experience and leadership any 1st semester sophomore wouldn't have.

      Interview

I interviewed with a company I met at a recent career fair. They stood out to me not only because of the role they were offering, but also because of how friendly and approachable the team was. I have prior experience in retail leadership, which aligned well with the position, and our conversation made it clear that they value those types of hands-on, team-oriented skills. The interaction left me with a strong impression that this would be a great group of people to work with.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me about my leadership experience and how I handle different situations, especially when challenges come up or when I’m responsible for leading a team.
