The interviewer conducted the interview without turning on their camera, making the process feel less personal or engaging. (maybe that is just a me-thing).
There was a notable lack of structure throughout the interview, and it seemed unclear what qualities or skills they were looking for. Doesn't help that the interviewer cannot communicate well, and the comments were also often dismissive or constructive feedback. (i.e. when discussing my past experiences, the interviewer spoke quite uninterestedly and even suggested that their work was more “serious” 🤨)
This experience made me question if the person conducting the interview truly understand their own product or company. If they aren't clear about who they're interviewing or the type of candidate they seek, how well do they really know what they are doing at work?
