Kylie from TDS made the entire interview process seamless. From start to finish, I was kept updated on what to expect and when each step would happen. I had two interviews: a technical interview and a meeting with the CEO. The technical interview was with two engineers who were both incredibly friendly and helpful. They made what is usually a stressful experience enjoyable and engaging. The second interview, with the CEO, Sam, was great as well. He seemed genuine, friendly, and easy to talk to. In my previous experiences, I’ve seen technically excellent hires who were very difficult to work with, so it was reassuring that the CEO takes the time to check if the person is a good fit for the company and its culture. Overall, TDS seems like an excellent place to work if the people I interacted with are representative of the company culture. In the end, I went with another offer. It was a very tough choice, but I wanted to take a “YOLO” approach and try something completely outside my comfort zone. Hopefully, I’ll have the chance to work with the TDS team in the future once I’ve further developed my skill set.
