I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Jan 2021
Interview
It was a group interview with 4 other people. It consisted of putting together lines of Java code in order to perform a task they were looking for and a system design question using RESTful API.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They also asked questions to members of the group after each activity about why we made certain decisions, so I think they were also evaluating how well we worked in a team.
Lots of behavioral questions and a technical question unscramble focusing on understanding your collaboration skills and communication skills done with another interviewee. Priority here is to show the interviewer you can work well in a team.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Zoomvliet) in Nov 2024
Interview
One HR phone call: how much experience in this or that language? tell me about your projects. Etc etc
One technical round: You and at least one other person perform a pseudocode scramble style question where you are tasked with organizing the pieces so that they build an app. (They are looking for thought process and teamwork here)
They also give you a case study to perform.
The interview process was simple and well organized. Got a call back the day after applying to schedule an online interview. Enjoyed the process of interviewing with the Home Depot
