I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Johannesburg) in Feb 2023
Interview
Good process. HR call was great and I received communication about moving on to the next round within the hour. However, 2nd interview was very tough. The third interview was great and conversational so I was shocked when I didn't make it to the next round. It also took a little longer to get a response after the third interview. I had to send an email asking for information then a few days later a got an automation rejection email.

Question 1
How would you approach getting people onto the app with few resources?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Amsterdam) in Jun 2023
Interview
I had a conversation with HR during the screening call and the hiring manager after. Unfortunately, it did not go through to the later stages, but it was a wonderful experience. Everyone I talked to was professional and prompt with their answers, with no sense of ghosting (which is typical for organisations of this size nowadays). If I will ever look for a new job again, I will definitely try to apply for a position at Tik Tok!

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in Dec 2020
Interview
I had a phone screening, followed by an interview with the hiring manager and then another manager on the team.
Overall, the interview process was smooth. My HR representative kept me informed through every single step and was very responsive, I felt very supported throughout the entire process. They were very transparent about timelines and the internal processes required to make a final decision. Great experience.
