I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Needham, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
The process was very comfortable. Got an on-campus interview through college career fair and then was asked to fly in for an on-site interview which was 2 technical and 1 behavioral interviews.
I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Tripadvisor in Oct 2018
Interview
On campus interview. Got it through career fair held at my university. Very difficult questions. Much more difficult than Facebook/Google for that matter. Had one technical question. The interviewer didn't seem like he wanted to be there.

Thank you for taking the time to meet with our team and for proving this feedback. I’m surprised to read your comments about your interviewer. Our engineers that conduct on campus interviews are typically excited to grow their teams and eager to share details of their own experience working at TripAdvisor. It’s disappointing to read that anyone representing TripAdvisor was not fully engaged in the interviewing process. Our recruiting and engineering leaders have been made aware of your feedback and are working with our interviewers to ensure that future candidates have a better experience. Thank you again for taking the time to meet with our team and we wish you the best of luck in your job search.

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tripadvisor
Interview
A recruiter contacted me and said that they were interested in my profile and asked me to send them a resume.
Initially I was invited for a remote technical interview which went very well (in fact I had no wrong answers!) They later said that they wanted to continue the interview process. They wanted me to do a project for them within 24 hrs. Since I was busy I asked if I could do that in weekend and we agreed that they send it on Friday and I send the project back on Saturday. I cancelled all the plans for the weekend but did not receive anything on Friday. On Saturday evening I finally contacted them that I was waiting for them all Friday and they suddenly remembered!!! The project was send to me on Saturday night and I ruined my weekend for an offer I knew they wouldn't give me.
I have to say it was such an unprofessional behaviour and waste of time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and I apologize that you didn’t have a more positive experience. Our talent acquisition team strives to create a seamless process for all candidates and unfortunately we came up short in this instance. We appreciate you bringing this mistake to our attention and will certainly investigate what caused the error. Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you the best of luck in your job search. - Carolyn Churcher, VP Talent Acquisition
