I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at USA Vein Clinics (Northbrook, IL) in Oct 2025
Interview
Applied and they emailed me asking about my experience with recruiting Physicians. They emailed me within a day of my response to set up a 15 minute virtual screening.
When I got on the call, the individual I spoke with seemed annoyed and didn’t have any personal skills. As a recruiter and being the first person that candidates speak to, I was shocked that I didn’t even get asked about how my day was or any small talk. I was asked to talk a little bit about myself, and the demeanor of the interviewer seemed like he didn’t care. He then immediately went into my experience, asking very detailed questions about how we recruit at my current job and to walk him through the recruiting process. There were a lot of questions that were redundant where I had to repeat myself, also made me feel like he thought I was inexperienced. Also, some of the questions he asked, seemed a bit interrogating. I was then asked if I had to follow any metrics on how many emails and phone calls I send a day, which made me feel like this was more of a sales position with cold calling. At the end, he finally started asking more questions about why I’m looking to leave my current position and other questions to get to know me. He barely explained the position itself. And then I was asked about my salary expectations and even though it is illegal in Illinois, he asked if it would be an increase or decrease from what I currently make. Which I don’t understand why anyone would apply to a job that is a decrease in compensation from what they’re used to?
In the end, I ended the call and was so thankful that I don’t work for this company or for the hiring manager. It definitely gave me a bad vibe and I would not apply to any positions for this company moving forward.
