Multiple interview process which consisted of recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, creative exercise, and in-office interview with 4 individuals. The process took over 6 weeks from initial screen to final decision. I was told I was simply overqualified and the candidate pool was "healthy".
The negative feedback is more so in response to the length of time between final interview and offer decision. From my final interview until no-offer decision, it was roughly 3 weeks. If this was communicated earlier, I would have been fine, but the anxiety of waiting was intense. It was a missed opportunity to engage the candidate. I personally made up my mind that I wouldn't accept an offer regardless.
Considering the PR/HR nightmares Uber is gong through right now, I'm ok with the final decision. I hope they transform their culture ASAP and increase efficiencies within the hiring process.
