I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uncommon Schools (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process was fairly easy and fun. I interviewed with a cohort of about 9 other people. They gave us breakfast and an overview of their teaching philosophy before showing us the school's morning procedures. We then taught our sample lessons in front of the principals present and they gave really good real-time feedback (which was not intimidating at all -- very helpful!). We then had one-on-one interviews with principals from the school and left for the day.

Give us three words your friends would use to describe you
The interview was via Zoom. I had to prepare a five minute lesson with information provided in preparation for interview. I was given feedback on my lesson to understand the style of the school's teaching.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Uncommon Schools (Brooklyn, NY) in Feb 2019
Interview
During the interview process I delivered part of a lesson from one of their common lesson plans. Throughout the delivery, one principal actively coaches you throughout the process, meaning they will pause in the middle and correct a behavior or adjust wording etc. Primarily looking for ability to accept adjustments and feedback and incorporate them into your teaching.
