Online interview. Had to interact with someone acting as a "prisoner" to calm them down. Then a chat about some personal qualities and attributes making me suitable for the role, Finally a group exercise. Fairly straightforward. Assessment was mostly based on personal attributes rather than technical skills.

Question 1
What skills or attributes would make you a good prison officer?
A fun interview! A little bit of a conversation, a group task, and a role-play. Much more engaging than normal interviews and gives you a bit of a taste of the role you're applying for.
Assessment day included a group interview, an individual interview and a role play exercise. Very organised and everyone was very nice and approachable. The role play was difficult but they do guide you to do your best.

Interview
The interview process was very smooth and the recruitment team ensured solid communication throughout meaning that nothing was a huge surprise on the day. The assessment centre was definitely the most challenging aspect of the process, and I was taken aback by how tough I found the role play exercise. However, while it was tough, it gave good insight into what the job would entail and whether its the right thing for you. Interviews are a two-way process.
