Applied online in Feb, 2019 and got a screener phone call a few days later. Interviewed at URI office early March, 2019.
The interview itself was nicely structured with relevant questions asked. Was told I would hear back within a week but that did not happen. Waited 10 days and then messaged the hiring manager, got a reply after another 8 days that they are still interviewing candidates for the position and will make a decision by the end of next month.

It's been 80+ days since my onsite interview and no reply yet.
I understand that hiring managers are busy and recruiting takes time but people on the other side have also put in their time and effort into the process as well and they do deserve to know the results of their effort, be it a proposal or a rejection.
Overall, I found the hiring process to be very unprofessional and a waste of my time and effort. I would not recommend applying to URI (unless you want to see an epitome of unprofessional hiring black hole).
