I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vista

Interview

Great interview process, 25 minute phone screen, found out results from that within three days and then moved on to a formal video interview. Really friendly staff, the interview could be seen as a little more difficult if you do not have much interview experience as they ask a lot of questions and follow ups to your responses

Interview questions
  • Typical walk me through your resume, very specific questions on previous work experience, how would I balance the job with my current schedule, why I want this role, and just some specific questions about the role and skills needed for it

I interviewed at Vista

Interview

i had several remote interviews with several of company individuals and company team members. They consisted of basic to advanced type of questions, relevant to the position. Many questions, prompting me to give many answers.

Interview questions
  • Why do you want to work here? This to me is a very bland question. People work because they need to support their family and themselves. This is the most important thing for most people.

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vista in Jun 2022

Interview

Not your traditional recruitment route but through a case competition which Vista collaborated with a University club. Our team were finalists in this case competition so were fast tracked into something called "Vista Internship/Audition day" if I remember correctly. It was a series of quick 10 minute 1 on 1 conversations with Vista employees mainly in the Software or Management sector.

I applied online. I interviewed at Vista (Melbourne) in May 2022

Interview

Preliminary call with HR to screen the resume and my experience in CX. The HR seemed to be wonderful and understanding Second round was with Hiring Manager and potential counterpart at work. It was not exactly like a stress interview, but interviewers were focussed on highlighting how difficult and hard the job is. Openly used words like office politics and also at times talked down my experience of being a CS Manager for 3 years. One of the recruiters also went on to ask how I would manage to do such a high pressure job with a toddler to care. One of the most toxic interviews I have ever had.

Interview questions
  • How do you handle politics at work?

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vista in May 2022

Interview

Anyone interested invervewing for Vista beware. A massive amout of time will be needed. I initially applied online and spoke with the lead recruiter who laid out the role and interview process for the particular role. I was even given a PDF of all the benefits had to offer. After 5 full days I was notified I would get to finally speak with the hiring manager only to find out family emergency took place (100% understanding) but it took an addtional 5 days to set up the interview process and meet with 3 members who do not work in the department applied for and 2 of wich do not live in the United States. After those 3 interviews where conducted I finally was able to meet with 2 members of the actual team and have 1 follow up interview with one of the original 3 interviews previously had. It was explained the hiring manager would be following up along with the lead requitor. 2 weeks go bye without any followup or feed back only to be told I was no longer a candidate without ever meeting with the hiring manager and to be able to counter interview that person or ask any direct questions I might have had for the role. Over a months time, several hours in interviewing without ever meeting the hiring manager is not what you would call equal opportunity employer.

Interview questions
  • Most "questions" where get to know you type questions with the exception of 1 analytical from someone not in the department.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vista

Interview

After talking to the recruiter, I scheduled a day where I had several interviews at their office. I met with several teams and representatives of different roles. In the end we had a meeting all together where they gave me some feedback about the interviews. All the process was very professional and it looked a good place for working. It was a very positive experience, I think I learned a lot that day, and it helped me to be aware of aspects that I could work on to be a better professional.

Interview questions
  • Work on an algorithm writing the code on a board. They asked me about my decisions as I was writing and offered suggestions along the way.
