Interviews at Wishup

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Thiruvananthapuram
I applied online. I interviewed at Wishup (Thiruvananthapuram) in Jan 2023
Its very difficult. I didn't prepared for this test. Although i tried my best. Hope to get this job. I need this job very urgently. Hope for the best. I don’t think that this interview was very difficult. I got english proficiency and logical reasoning and aptitude test.
- English proficiency and aptitude test

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Wishup in Jul 2022
Wishup should wakeup from their dream and realise that they're hiring candidates from India. So, it's obvious that they're going to have Indian accent. One cannot fake an accent and I believe it's inappropriate. Candidates are aware that they will be working with U.S clients, and being able to communicate in good English is enough. But wishup is like they're searching for U.S candidates in India. Utter nonsense and the lady who was interviewing should get her attitude check. She thinks she's being smart over the call but actually irritating. They rejected me saying I need to work on my accent and little pauses inbetween. But it's actually kinda funny that I cracked an interview the same day and got a job with better salary than wishup was offering. The company was U.S based and all three rounds of video interview was conducted by native Americans. So, wishup wakeup from your dream. Worst experience ever.
- Basic questions about my previous roles

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Lagos
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Wishup (Lagos) in Jul 2022
it was quite smooth and very prompt. The follow up personnel is very prompt with his responses and he made the interview process very seamless. The aptitude test in the beginning too was quite straight forward with no hassle.
- They asked about my previous jobs, and why i want to take the role.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Bangalore
I applied online. I interviewed at Wishup (Bangalore) in Jun 2022
Vocabulary test and aptitude test which is pretty easy to crack. But be prepared for it unless you wanna get rejected. They keep the video on and you need a headphone so you cant cheat.
- To send an email for a client.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New Delhi
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wishup (New Delhi) in May 2022
The process was relatively tedious. Step 1: I applied through LinkedIn & received a link for filling their application form and later attempting their English and Aptitude Test. These were fairly simple. Step 2: I received an email for getting shortlisted and was introduced to the recruitment process. Initially, I was asked to send an audio file introducing myself on the specified parameters including location, experience, suitability. Step 3: After clearing that round, there were some questions that were asked to me by the recruiter over emails which ate up 3-4 days. Post that, I received an e-invite for a virtual interview with the Hiring Manager. Step 4: It was very simple interview including general questions like experience & why would I be a good fit? Towards the end, I was given an Assignment Task (Research Based) to complete within 90 minutes. Step 5: Post my submission, I had to appear for one final round with the Recruitment Head where he just facilitated a casual conversation with me (less than 15 minutes).
- Why would you be a good fit?
- Why did you leave your previous organisation?
- Why do you want to join Wishup?
- Are you comfortable in night shift?
- The work is monotonous. Would you be okay with that?
- Will you be okay to sign a bond of two years?

Please don't waste your time applying at Wishup unless you speak exceptional Fluent English. According to the head of the talent acquisition, their US clients are more interested in your English speaking fluency rather than how good you are at your work. We are Indians and their clients should understand that they are hiring an Indian Virtual Assistant at a cheap rate to get their work done. They cannot expect us to speak fluent US English like them. Only apply if your spoken English is 10/10.
- Tell me about yourself and your previous job? Have you managed any projects in your previous job?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Mumbai
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Wishup (Mumbai) in Mar 2022
The interview started on a note that left much to be desired. Throughout the interview I was the only one who kept the video on. The interviewer's tone was rude and almost insulting. Why set up a GoogleMeet interview, when a normal call would have done the job just fine? There were too many questions asked from my previous job, and it came to a point where I had to say "I would not like to go into the details of this particular subject, if you don't mind." The interviewer interrupted me while I was speaking multiple times, which was the ultimate put off. I feel sorry for the employees, if this is how they behave with interviewees, I wonder what it's like for the employees.
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for this role?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Indore
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Wishup (Indore) in Feb 2022
If the company is relying on zoom interviewers to hire good candidates, then the company is likely to be doomed soon. I had zoom interview and we were discussing my past working experiences. I had experience in US IT Recruitment and so I mentioned about it. The feedback that I received is that I'm looking for Recruitment field ??? Why would I apply for your company if I'd have been looking for something else? The second feedback is for accent. WE LIVE IN INDIA, WE WILL HAVE INDIAN ACCENT. So the company is basically looking for candidates with US accent since they have US Client, which is understandable, but from my experience in dealing with US people, no matter how much you fake the accent, they will know. So the only thing that matters is how valuable your service is to them, Wishup certainly does not focus much on that so as it seems from the way their interviewers judge a candidate. The only positive thing that I'd like to mention is for HR, she was really good and polite and kept me updated throughout the process and even called me to let me know about the interview feedback . Thank you HR.
- introduction, previous experience, why wishup?

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Wishup
Bad experience. Hr is kind of rude and makes you feel why did you even attend the interview. Irrelevant questions Interview process is unclear and questions asked are NASA level questions
- I don't think you should be leaving your current employer and join us. You won't stay here

There is a 7 step employment form that you have to fill containing all your details, i.e., personal details, education, work experience, etc. the usual stuff and after that you are given two tests (which was not mentioned earlier anywhere so I was not prepared for them at all). The two tests are Logical Reasoning ( 25 minutes) and English proficiency (15 minutes). The tests were not that difficult if you have studied basic LR questions of series, symbols, circle etc. English proficiency test gave you a voice not of 1:14 minutes to listen for instructions and then perform accordingly. I found the tests relatively on the easier side. Decent overall.
- Still waiting on the interview part.
