Virtual. The link they email out takes you to a Google Meeting videocall waiting room where some of the screens of the interviewers and other interns are visible. Everyone is muted, however, and a shared screen gives instructions on how to wait. The instructions ask you to wait your turn to interview until a message in the chat calls you out by name and gives you another link to join a one-on-one videocall with the interviewers. My interviewer was friendly and asked a list of basic questions like, Do you have secure internet connection, Are you available for the duration of this internship, and what's your personal connection to the genre you picked?

It was an overall easy process, but it was also questionable. There was no real application process. I just signed up for an interview. It was just three to four questions from what I remember, mostly asking me if I was ready to work immediately.
